EMERGE participants presented public performances that focused on the word Sense (the Art in Odd Places 2017 theme conceived by independent curator and artist Nicolás Dumit Estévez Raful) “welcoming ideas aimed at awakening dormant perceptions within individual pedestrians, and in kindling one-on-one or group synergies promoting sighting, feeling and self-healing.” Estévez visited an early workshop to briefly present his body of performance work and his concept of Sense that these public actions were based.
